J & P Lewis

Planning & Industrial Construction

The aim of this project was to successfully gain planning permission so that J & P Lewis would be able to Construct a new Industrial Building. This industrial unit would be located to the left of their already, existing operational site. This in turn would allow the company to grow their site and to expand their business.
To meet are clients demand we had to come up with a radical design that would work with industrial sized machinery and lorries that would be delivering and collecting the manufactured steels sheeting. We completed all supporting documentation and submitted the planning application on their behalf. After much planning and liaison with all parties, planning permission was granted.
Following granted planning permission for J and P Lewis and their industrial building, they instructed us to carry out other services (please refer to other case studies).

When thinking about the development we had to consider the type of contractors and specialists we would be working with in the future of the development. Here are just a couple:

Surveyors - Topographical
Draftsman
Highways England
Ecology – for the species and grounds
Utilities – electric, BT connections, water
Architects

The design of our proposed development meant that J and P Lewis were led to enquire about purchasing the full Blakeley Hall Road, Oldbury.
